The first TV series originally premiered in Japan on March 31, 1997 and ran until April 1, 1998. The story centers around the world game Rayman Legends, which revolves around five worlds consisting of Dragon Castle, Toad Village, Fancy Food Town, Underwater City and Sky-Cloud Valley.

The English-language version of the series was produced by BBC and 4kids Productions and made a truncated episode preview premiere on Cartoon Network's Toonami block on April 16, 2000. The episodes then made their "official" premiere on July, 2005. Toonami then moved to Saturdays and premiered the rest of the series.

2 "Meet the Phantom Fighters" April 1, 1997 Riley and Elycia meet the phantom fighters (Blicky, Picky, Icky, Claite & Sune) appears, Barbara and Olympia comes to save friends. The Emperor of the Phantom Fighters, Megazotron, who was controlled the kingdom.
3 "Who Gets to Keep the Egg?" April 2, 1997 When the egg Riley found hatches into a brand new hatchling, Parafly-Lum, everyone wants to own it. Fojo and Faja the friendly floating servants, Toby the talkative lizard, and Denko the kindhearted dimetrodon.
12 "Neighborhood of Greatest" April 15, 1997 Riley and his friends decided to build the traps to catch the Phantom Fighters. So Elycia pointing the costumes, Riley have an idea and he pretended to be a ghost and scare the Phantom Fighters.
31 "The Ghost Coming" May 12, 1997 Riley and Barbara hearing something, Riley thinking about a ghost are coming. Elycia hides from the bushes and saw the Phantom Fighters overheard. The Phantom Fighters tries to catch Riley, but fails. Elycia thought if they Scare the Phantom Fighters away. So Elycia disguise herself as ghost and scare them. Riley and Barbara knew that the ghosts was appearing. It revealed Elycia in disguise.
39 "The World Championship in Rudeness" May 22, 1997 Riley was lost in the dark, spooky, forest, hearing noises. Olympia found Riley at the forest. The Phantom Fighters was eavesdropping thinking was afraid of ghosts. Riley fell asleep and Riley woke up, hearing knocking the door. He opens the door the Phantom Fighters disguise themselves as ghosts and haunts Riley. The next morning, Barbara told Riley to scare the Phantom Fighters. That night, The phantom fighters sneaked into the room. Barbara pretended to be a ghost and scare the Phantom Fighters. They rushed off and tell Krongo. The Phantom Fighters orders the soldiers to making a poison drink to faint Riley. Luckily, Barbara, Toby and Denko found Riley. Barbara woke Riley and calls the herd of dinosaurs to attack the Phantom Fighters' soldiers and fled.
45 "The Treasure Hunt" June 27, 1997 Riley tells Elycia about the legend of Captain Starker's treasure and the gang decide to look for it underground. The Phantom Fighters steal the treasure chest. Riley and the gang which way to followed the paths. Riley, Parafly-Lum, Fojo and Faja followed the first path and found a room. Parafly-Lum, Fojo and Faja found a ghost costumes. Toby and Denko followed the second path, Toby was startled to see a spider in the cave. Parafly-Lum, Fojo and Faja disguise themselves as ghosts and scare Toby and Denko. but are less than pleased when the actually treasure is revealed to be golden coins.
124 "The House Full of Haunted" January 8, 1998 Riley, Elycia and Olympia enters the old mansion and enters the door, the mansion is haunted. Riley wonders that the place is creepy. The phantom fighters overheard, they decided to catch Riley. Riley whispered to Elycia and Olympia to Scare those Phantom Fighters away. Elycia and Olympia nodded. Riley and Elycia pretend to be mummies, and Olympia pretended to be a ghost, The phantom fighters enters the mansion, and they saw the mummies and the ghost appears in the mansion. Terrified, the phantom fighters ran away in terror.
